Shifter/Handbrake mount

At CoffeeRacer we want to allow everybody to enjoy racing in their homes, The original design was aimed at the bulk of people racing GT/Formula cars with flappy paddle gearboxes, However with the introduction of the shifter/handbrake mount we are also offering a solution for clasic car-, drift- and rally-lovers that do not want to dedicate a full room for their hobby.

If you want to use your CoffeeRacer to (virtually) drive a (classic) car with a manual shifter, the starting kit allows you to do so by supporting an entry level H-pattern or sequential shifter.

However if you want to operate a more serious shifter, or want to improve your drift skills by mounting a handbrake rather than a shifter, you need to add the handbrake stabilizer to ensure there are no unwanted movements in the CoffeeRacer. 

Feeling confident and want to drive rally cars virtually? Then also add the Heusinkveld extension kit to be able to run a sequential shifter at the same time. This setup is only recommended with the handbrake stabilizer, the high forces will cause unwanted movement in the CoffeeRacer otherwise. 

Alternatively the handbrake and shifter combination by Fanatec fits without using the Heusinkveld extension kit considering the handbrake bolts on to the shifter. Futher combinations we are still looking into.

The handbrake/shifter mount, partially folds in and fits into the CoffeeRacer when not in use. When stored away, your gear stays mounted on the mount. All parts of the shifter/handbrake mount can be installed on and removed from the CoffeeRacer without tools. The shifter mount needs to be completely disconnected/reattached which adds about 1 minute to your setup time.

The starter-kit fits on all CoffeeRacer models, The handbrake stabilizer and the Heusinkveld extension kit only works in combination with the desk chair mount and is developped primarily for the 'Play'.

In your situation, will the CoffeeRacer come out of hiding for an occasional drive? or will it be a full time simrig that can be stown away when needed?
