The Fanatec products bolt directly onto the wheelbase plate that comes standard with the CoffeeRacer, However if you want to mount the Fanatec products at an angle to get your perfect racing position, the DD side mount is the solution.

Side mount works great without any problems.

The angle of the wheelbase is much better with the side mount.
I use the side mount with the Fanatec Clubsport DD+ wheelbase with 15 Nm.
The stability is just as good with side mount as without.
I don't feel any movements in the base or in the CoffeeRacer itself.
Folding the CoffeeRacers also works without any problems.
